My grandfather's great grandfather came to Milwaukee in 1867, the same year Jacob Leinenkugel and John Miller started a brewery in Chippewa Falls. However, instead of being skilled at brewing beer, Grandpa Heinen had a passion for woodworking. He started a cabinet shop out of his home and ran his small business off Market Street for over 15 years. Many people throughout Wisconsin have a passion for the skills and talents God gave them; they pour their lives into families and businesses they cherish. My passion is legal counseling and advocating for those brewers, woodworkers, and business owners—not only as hard workers who take pride in what they do, but as fathers, mothers, grandfathers, and grandmothers. I use my skills and talents to assist clients in navigating our legal system in a way that will help them protect their businesses and see that their family is provided for into the future.
Jason J. Heinen is originally from Neenah, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2008, obtaining a bachelor's degree with honors in the major of history. Attending Liberty University School of Law in Virginia, he gained an appreciation for property, estates, and transactional law. He graduated magna cum laude in 2011.
After admission to the Wisconsin bar, Jason practiced law in Delafield by day and volunteered with Lake Country Fire and Rescue by night. In 2016, he began practicing with the Law Offices of Mark S. Knutson, S.C., in Brookfield. Both in Delafield and Brookfield, he was mentored by experienced attorneys, while advising numerous clients through the complexity of estate planning, trust and probate administrations, and various kinds of corporate or real estate transactions.
Jason's passion is advocating and counseling individuals and business owners in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, residential and commercial real estate transactions, corporate and business law, and adult guardianships. He skillfully assists clients in navigating our legal system in a way that will help them protect their businesses and see that their families are provided for in the future.
Jason and his wife, Jean, live in Lisbon and have six children. In his spare time, Jason enjoys everything outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
